CLARA!

„Clara! - A compositional journey with music by Clara Schumann and Catherine Kontz".

Driven by her enthusiasm for sharing music with young audiences and her love of contemporary music, Cathy, together with Catherine Kontz and Tobias Ribitzki (director), imagined a journey through the life of Clara Schumann.

The project aims to give the audience an insight into the life and work of Clara Schumann and show what a modern woman she was. Starting with Clara Schumann's piano trio, we will travel in Clara's footsteps through Europe, experience her first major concert in Leipzig and see how composing actually works. Because above all, that's what Clara Schumann was - a composer! We are accompanied on this journey by the music of a composer from our time - Catherine Kontz brings the stages of Clara's life to life through her compositions.
